West Georgia Networks is dedicated to the providing the businesses and users in the western half of Gerogia and the eastern portion of Alabama with quality consulting, installation, and training of secure networks. A network is constructed combining or separating all of the devices within your office of home into a defined addressable network of hosts. The secure part of the process is enabling only essential communication and making sure the bad things on the internet stay outside on the Internet and away from your internal computers.
The only figure that is larger than the 81 percent of home PCs that lack critical security applications such as anti-virus, anti-spyware or firewall software is the 83 percent of home PC users who falsely believe they are safe from online theft of information and identity, according to AOL's latest Online Safety study.

West Georgia Networks Web Log or Blog is now online. On the blog we'll give advice and from time to time we'll rant and rave and stomp our feet. The biggest advantage of the blog will be that customers and visitors can ask questions and leave comments about anything we happen to have on the blog. We are pleased so far with the setup.
The link to the blog can be found on the side panel menu or can be accessed directly at http://blog.westgeorgia.net |

Mozilla has released Firefox 1.5. West Georgia Networks has been running Firefox 1.5 for a number of weeks now and we like it. It runs better than the previous versions of Firefox 1.0x and hasn't crashed on us yet.
We highly recommended downloading and running Firefox 1.5. |

In order to prevent copying SONY-BMG CD's, when the CD is placed into your computer, malicious software is installed that hackers have been able to take advantage of a person's PC. The tool provided by Sony to remove the software is even worse. Sony has recalled the CD's but the damage has already been done. |
